Are You A Good Leader - Zach Biddle San Diego

Most of us think that one needs to have extraordinary skills to be a leader. Zach Biddle San Diego on the other hand says that one need not have extraordinary skills to be a leader. All of us could be leaders in our own right and we are in fact acting as leaders during various phases of life but it is only that we do not realise it or do it consciously.

Most of the leaders that we have today or come across today are not those who started as leaders. These are people that just started responding to the situations around them, acted on the missing links and tried to make the world a better place. When others noticed the work of these people and found value in what they were doing, they started following them. Therefore, they did not start with a group of followers but they started acting on their instincts.

If you think that you are not a good leader then you could be wrong. You just need to look at your own life to spot several episodes where you were acting as an excellent leader without being conscious of the fact that you are leading says Mikel Biddle. It could have been in your school days or college days, or it could have been during a family emergency. It could have been even at work.

Everyone could be a good leader but not everyone realizes that and the fact is that everyone need not be a leader. If everyone leads at all times then we will not have anyone to follow or join the leader in accomplishing things. It is therefore more productive and useful to think in terms of tasks and goals that need to be accomplished rather in terms of leadership and positions.

Each one comes with a specific set of skills and these skills would be useful during specific times. Not all skills are required at all times. Therefore, it would be more of a natural leadership that would make the world a better place. In some cases, we need the skills to convince people and in other cases we need the skills to raise funds. The one who knows how to get people together may not have the skills to raise funds. If one goes by acting within their capabilities and take it upon themselves what needs to be done in the world around them, then, we will have more natural leaders around us. The world today needs natural leaders rather than hierarchical leaders. Leadership that comes by position only tries to control in most situations. Instead we want leadership that responds to the needs of the society. We have limited leadership to organisations and institutions. Organisations and institutions just need managers. The world at large on the other hand needs leaders. Along these lines, you too are a leader and you need to just allow the leader in you to emerge freely and make the world a better place.
